Hurrah for 4-H PEI
Meridian Farms, one of Atlantic Canada's largest breeding operations and racing stables, has generously donated the winning purse money of their race horse for 2014. His name is "Hurrah". Hurrah is a three year old pacing colt, trained by Melissa Rennie, and driven by Mark Bradley. Red Shores and Meridian Farms have chosen 4-H PEI to benefit from Hurrah's races during the month of July!
Red Shores and Meridian Farms requests that 4-H members, leaders, and supporters make an effort to be present and cheer on Hurrah during his race dates. Potential race dates include:
- In Charlottetown - July 3, 5, 10, 12, 24, 26, 31
- In Summerside - July 1, 9, 13, 19, 23, 30
If interested in gathering the family, club, or group of friends to attend the races, please let Emily know. In the event that Hurrah races, she will be in touch!
For more information on Red Shores or the Hurrah for Island Charities campaign, visit the Red Shores website.
Please note: there is no entry cost to the races. This will not be a supervised 4-H event. Members who attend should be under the supervision of a joining adult.
